About

Who We Are

Highways Information Management System is a flexible database management system designed for asset owners, managers, and consultants. It provides storage and analysis of data on road assets generally based on linear referencing to pavements, bridges, culverts, and even fords. It is based on the principle of the "zero-coding paradigm by the end user," which means an integral part of the functionality configuration is released to the end user without actual changes to existing software. It is generally based on Commercially Off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.

It supports project, program, and strategy level analysis, and data transfer between levels. It also has a Royalty-free distribution-embedded engine for designing reports and graphs. HIMS provides a very flexible and advanced data validation routine while importing data into the HIMS system. End users have the authority to change the validation rules as required.

Products

HIMS is much more than just a system, it's the revolutionary approach adapted to manage our highways. Predictive analytics and real-time data have changed everything in the way we handle traffic and maintenance.

HIMS Asset Management System (HIMS)

The HIMS Asset Management system provides an integrated approach to managing and maintaining the efficiency of the road infrastructure. A Highway asset management system enhances road safety, reliability, and asset longevity. It also empowers decision-makers to prioritize maintenance activities. A commercially-of-shelf system (COTS) built on zero-code technology uses complete flexibility to configure and implement the system to any business or sector. Features like Dashboards, Dynamic forms, and Bulk data imports make it unique and versatile from other Asset Management systems.

Traffic data management

Traffic data collection is the practice of getting information concerning traffic density with respect to various time slots that in turn help us to make decisions about infrastructure enhancements. This helps government agencies, transportation planners, and city planners to identify the need for road upgrades, building new pathways, and necessary maintenance. The Key outputs of traffic data management system are determining and identifying:

  • Annual Average daily traffic (AADT)
  • Growth rate analysis
  • Peak hours traffic etc

Bridge management system

HIMS Bridge Management System (BMS) is specially designed for better management and maintenance of bridge infrastructure from its inception to the end of its life cycle. Since bridges are part of one of the critical infrastructures in transportation networks, the HIMS bridge management tool offers several capabilities to help agencies or organizations. The Key features of the bridge management system

  • Maintaining bridge inventory and condition data
  • Calculating Bridge condition index (BCI)
  • Structural integrity, and safety assurance
  • Identifying major repairs and routine maintenance needs.

Grievance management system

A grievance management system is a web and mobile-based solution that helps Municipal authorities or agencies to respond quickly and address public grievances. The System provides meaningful reports to determine Key performance indicators (KPI) of the relevant authorities in resolving issues. The major functionalities of the grievance management system are

  • Mobile application for citizens to raise complaints
  • Workflow Mechanism to assign or escalate complaints
  • SMS and E-mail notification about the complaint status
  • Dashboards, Reports, and KPIs etc

HIMS Analysis Module (NODEM)

This is a stand alone software which is integrated with HIMS. This software is the Analysis Engine for HIMS which is used for predictive modeling, economic analysis, prioritization and optimization. This can be used for linear and non linear assets. NODEM can be purchased along with HIMS or independently. In addition to roads and highways, NODEM was implemented on several projects in New Zealand involving different assets such as Traffic Signals, Kerb and Channel, Footpaths, Stormwater, Waste Water, Water, Parks, Leisure assets.

Project management system

HIMS project management system is an integrated software package that helps in planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating construction and maintenance works of the road.
